The Mid-Term event of the Med Biodiversity Protection Community , in the frame of the PANACeA project, was held in Brussels on 4 and 5 December 2018. Development Agency of the Una-Sana Canton, as a part of EcoSUSTAIN team, participated at this event and presented the EcoSUSTAIN project.
On 4 December, a workshop was organised in order to transfer the lessons learnt by the Community of Interreg Med Biodiversity Protection projects and protected areas to a wider audience, in particular EU, Mediterranean and national policy makers, public authorities at different level, environmental organizations and territorial cooperation institutions.
The afternoon of Day 1 was a dialogue with policy makers focused on Integrating Ecosystem Based approach in regional sectoral policies. At this session, the representative of ECOSUSTAIN team,ie representative of Development Agency of the Una-Sana Canton, made a presentation on project results, in link with the thematic regarding “How to address regional pressures to reduce impacts on Mediterranean ecosystems: gathering knowledge on pollution including marine litter threats”.
This workshop was followed by a public hearing at the European Parliament on 5 December.
A number of representative projects, policy makers and Mediterranean stakeholders were present at this event.
