University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies participated in Info day and presentation of the 3rd Call for Proposals for the Interreg V-B Mediterranean Programme.
Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds as the National Agency for Transnational Co-operation Programme Interreg VB Mediterranean 2014 - 2020, organized Info day in order to inform potential applicants about the Programme content and timely preparation of proposals for the 3rd Call for Proposals. Besides representatives of the National Agency, attendees had the opportunity to hear about experience and process of application and implementation of projects from the successful Croatian project partners from previous calls.
The representatives of the Faculty of Maritime Studies, as the Lead Partner of the Interreg MED EcoSUSTAIN project, presented their experiences of project application and implementation. They also presented all the activities of the EcoSUSTAIN project and thus informed the wider Croatian public of the advantages and disadvantages of the Short-Termed and Long-Termed Monitoring Systems of Protected Areas.
The Interreg VB Mediterranean Programme 2014 - 2020 is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and IPA Funds, which promotes partnerships between public and private institutions in the Mediterranean programme area with the aim of strengthening the capacity for smart and sustainable growth, stimulating low-carbon economies, development energy efficiency, protection and promotion of natural and cultural resources of the Mediterranean area and development of multilateral institutional frameworks in order to reach common solutions.
